After so many debates
and discussions, finally, the Ministry of Home Affairs has declared something
really big for the working class in India. From the IT sector to essential good
suppliers, there are several sections who will be resuming their operations from
April 20, 2020.

Lockdown Relaxation
with Restrictions
While ensuring a
degree of relaxation for people by allowing a few sectors to recommence services, the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced a set of rules too. Every
employee and employer will have to abide by the decided rules strictly.
Rules for Employer-
- No private organizations will be allowing more than 50%
of staff to resume duties from April 20
- No firm is to allow an aged employee to continue from
April 20
- No conferences or meetings to be held with 10 or more
people
- Provide sanitizers at the workplace
- Transportation services for the employees will be the
employer’s responsibility (only for employees/workers coming from outside)
- Office vehicles should allow 30 to 40% passengers only
- At the entrance, thermal screening arrangements for
employees is mandatory
- Vehicles or any other object entering the office
premises/factory should be disinfected appropriately
- Ensure every employee has ‘Arogya Setu’ app on his/her
smartphones
- Keep a gap of at least 1 hour if running an office in
two shifts
- It is mandatory to provide medical insurance to every
employee
- Ban the use of gutka or tobacco at the office premises
- Keep a list of nearby hospitals, dispensaries treating COVID-19
Rules for Employees-
- Cover your face with well-sanitized masks
- Keep a distance of 6 feet between the chairs
- Avoid handshake
- During breaks, obey social distancing rules strictly
- At least 6 feet distance should be maintained during training sessions or meetings too
