As you know everybody is struggling hard to save their jobs, stocking their kitchen with basic essentials & commodities, hunting for new income resources to defeat the upcoming recession and worrying about their future & health; our elites came forward and stood by the nation sturdily.  

On a humble request by our PM, the biggies of India came forward and donated with an open heart. Let's see who donated what in the PM CARES fund.

  1. Tata Group-
    On 31st March, Tata Group twitted- “we appreciate the PM CARES Fund initiative to address the unprecedented effects of COVID-19. The Tata Group is making a humble contribution of Rs. 500 crore towards the PM CARES Fund, as a part of our overall commitment of Rs. 1,500 crores. As always, we remain fully committed and united in the support to the nation.

  2. Reliance Industries-
    On 30th March, Mukesh Ambani (CEO of Reliance Industries) announced a contribution of Rs. 500 crore. In addition to this, he donated Rs. 5 crore each to the Gujarat & Maharashtra CM Relief Fund.

  3. Aditya Birla Group-
    On 3rd April, the Aditya Birla Group announced to donate overall Rs. 500 crores. This amount includes- Rs. 400 crore contribution, Rs. 50 crores to the ‘Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence’, and other medical facilities like- 1 million triple-layer surgical masks, 1 lakh coverall garments, etc.

  4. D-Mart-
    On 4th April, Radhakrishan Damani (the promoter of Avenue Supermarts) announced Rs. 100 crores contribution and Rs. 55 crores to several state relief funds. This contribution was made via Bright Star Investments.

  5. Adani Foundation-
    Following the league, on 3rd April, Gautam Adani (Chairman of Adani Group)declared Rs. 100 crores and Rs. 5 crores to Gujarat CM Relief Fund & Rs. 1 crore to the Maharashtra CM Relief Fund.

  6. JSW Group-
    Witnessing the coronavirus devastation, the chairman of JSW Group, Sajjan Jindal gave away Rs. 100 crores for the cause.

  7. BCCI-
    While announcing their part of the share, BCCI wrote- “committed to providing support to the state machinery in the face of adversity” and donated Rs. 51 crores.

  8. Kotak Mahindra Bank-
    On 29th March, Uday Kotak, the MD of Kotak Mahindra Bank twitted- “It is time to protect Lives and Livelihood. Jab Jaan hai to Jahaan hai.” With this, he announced a contribution of Rs. 50 crore from his personal account and on behalf of Kotak Mahindra Bank (25 crores each).

  9. Akshay Kumar-
    Just like always being on the forefront to help the nation from a calamity, Akshay Kumar came forward & donated Rs. 25 crores and wrote- “This is that when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes.

  10. Bhushan Kumar-
    The proud MD of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar, wrote: “extremely important to do all we can to help.” With this, he contributed Rs. 11 crores each to the Maharashtra CM Relief and PM CARES Fund.
