Will Lockdown Extend? A Question by Every Indian

Lockdown Extend, Coronavirus Lockdown
So far, this Chinese virus (COVID-19) has taken 82, 114 lives (as of 8th April 2020) and now is all set to take away 136 million jobs in India. According to the World Economic Forum, the coronavirus adversity is worse than the Great Financial Crises occurred in 2007-08.

In India, the total number of coronavirus cases ten-folded after the Tablighi Jammat incident happened in Delhi. With this, the center is still debating over a three-week national lockdown extension.

After the GoM meeting, the Vice-President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu said-
“Between the considerations of the health of the people and stabilization of our economy being debated, the former shall take precedence over the later. In my view, while the concerns of the economy can wait for another day, that of health can’t. I appeal to people to abide by whatever decision is ultimately taken by the leadership and cooperate in the ongoing national effort even if it means continuing with some degree of hardship still beyond April 14.”

Witnessing the present circumstances, CMs of Telangana and Madhya Pardesh- K Chandrasekhar Rao and Shivraj Singh Chouhan (respectively) have recommended extending the lockdown duration beyond 14th April. States including- Telangana, Punjab, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh are in favor of extending the lockdown.

Keeping in mind the need of the hour, there are chances amenities like- grocery stores and chemists may remain open in the upcoming weeks. The approach to running these stores may differ based on active coronavirus cases in a particular vicinity. The government is yet to announce its final call on this context.

Where the government has not declared anything about the lockdown extent so far, people all around the nation have already started to panic & question the system. Instead, we as responsible citizens of our nation must understand this crisis & should take necessary steps to serve the underprivileged class.

We, 1,387,297,452 Indians, if unite can defeat a virus for sure.
